Russia’s oil exports increased by 7.5% this year

Russian oil exports are predicted to have increased by 7.5% in 2015, up to 238 million metric tonnes. This is the first increase in exports that has been recorded in the past six years.

Russian Energy Minister, Alexander Novak, speaking in Moscow today said that coal exports are unlikely drastically to have changed in 2015. He reported that Russia has seen a decrease in natural gas production this year (by about 1.4%) but despite the decrease in production has seen gas exports increase by 4.9%.
